External Job Description:
Candidate must be subject matter expert in Navy Hull, Mechanical and Electric (HM&E) systems.
Candidate must have extensive experience in maintenance, repair, and the Navy preventive maintenance system.
Candidate must have extensive CVN Maintenance Support Center (MSC) experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
This position may require some travel.
Candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of Tech Manuals and engineering drawings/data reading practices (MIL-STD-1000), and be capable to perform logistic technical evaluation of equipment and material presented in these drawings. Candidate additionally must have the ability to prepare data sets documenting the equipment/component in a Configuration Status Accounting database.
Candidate must be capable of performing shipboard sight validations and able to perform logistic technical analysis of shipboard (marine) equipment.
Candidate must be able to research Ship Configuration logistic information in accordance with Ship Configuration and Logistic Support Information System (SCLSIS) specifications and enter data in the Navy’s CDMD-OA system.
Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components. Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.
