External Job Description:
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Broad understanding of shipbuilding construction processes and understand the linear relationships between operations and support organizations and is able to coordinate those functions to resolve road blocks in an efficient, timely manner. Sub-Contractor management and oversee will be part of duties. Customer interface on a regular basis.

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline or the equivalent in education, training and experience, plus a minimum of 8 years of applicable, shipbuilding, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience.
