Newport News Shipbuilding a Division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking an IT Project Manager, to join our IT Business Technology & Transformation team of highly qualified, diverse individuals, and take on projects critical to the growth and success of the company. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Leads and directs one or more Agile-based project teams engaged in IT Operations, implementation of and/or customization of various COTS products, and custom in-house development.
•Facilitating agile ceremonies
•Prepares project execution plan and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team.
•Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment.
•Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
•Keeps current on advances in the field of IT.
•Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team
•Encouraging the team to seek continuous improvement

•BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, Information Technology, Philosophy
•5 years of work experience in providing or managing IT services
oExperienced in managing Agile-based projects
oUnderstanding of cross module integration and interfacing between SAP and non-SAP systems.
•Demonstrated ability to accomplish work objectives within a matrixed organizational environment
•Relevant agile or project management certifications (PMI-PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM, CSPO, PSPO)
•Strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills
•Excellent communicator/presenter with all levels of management
