Position Specifics:

The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a CONFIDENTIAL level security clearance.

The selected candidate must have the following to qualify for this position:

• Shipboard or marine industrial experience.

• Military (Navy or Army) Technical Manual development experience.

• Prior experience reading and interpreting technical drawings/wiring schematics.

• Editing and writing in SGML/HTML/XML – preferred candidate will have experience with military publishing systems (NAVLOGTD, Army IADS or EMS NG).

• Solid MS Word and overall MS Office experience.

Prepares specifications from engineering change notices, customer specifications, and/or published data sheets. Maintains customer specifications files; reviews customer drawings and data; translates customer language into standard procedures and product flow.

Job performance may require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Must be capable of climbing ladders, and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
