Position Specifics:

Candidate have MUST have the following:

  • Experience as a Mechanical, Structural, and/or Electrical Engineer.

  • Experience with AutoCAD

  • Be proficient with the full Microsoft Office 13 suite

  • Experience using MathCAD and/or Mat Lab.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Confidential Security Clearance

Responsibilities will include engineering analysis, drawing development and perform ship checks on a variety of ship classes. The Engineer Designer will be responsible for developing and reviewing drawings and providing calculations and analyses that support design requirements. He/she will work independently with minimal senior engineer support, perform ship checks on a variety of ship classes, explain system characteristics, and provide technical guidance to Designers. The Engineer Designer will also investigate and prepare technical reports. This position may require some travel 25% of the time.

Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties for marine applications: mechanical, piping, structure, naval, electrical and/or HVAC.

Preferred Qualifications:

A preferred candidate will have knowledge and experience with the following specialties for marine applications: mechanical, piping, structure, naval, electrical and/or HVAC.

A preferred candidate will have knowledge of either FEMAP, Autodesk Nastran, Abaqus, Pro Engineering, AUTOCAD Inventor, and MathCAD.

Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances during site surveys. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift. Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a lap top computer.
