To qualify for this position the selected candidate must have the following:

•\tPrior experience with CVN design or operation

•\tPrior experience with CVN maintenance planning and execution

•\tAbility to interpret contract requirements and develop project management plans

•\tProficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

•\tExcellent communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

•\tOperates as an off-site, embedded, team member within the Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) FORD Class In-Service Carrier (FC ISCVN) Program Office construct

•\tContributes to the development of new FC ISCVN and Early Service Life Period (ESLP) concepts, techniques, and standards

•\tDefines, designs and implements program level, maintenance related strategies, policies and processes supporting the new FORD Class Carrier Continuous Maintenance and Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Availability process to ensure they are integrated and aligned with execution goals and business strategies across the FC ISCVN organization

•\tEnsures strategies, policies and processes are Analyzes strategies, policies and processes, compiles results, and presents findings to program and project management

•\tServes as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and program management

•\tConsidered expert in process development within the organization

•\tDevelops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients

•\tReviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports

•\tDefines, designs and implements continuous improvement programs to ensure programs are integrated vertically and horizontally across organization

•\tDefines improvement projects aligned with business strategies. Analyzes improvement programs and potential results

•\tFacilitates and coaches improvement teams

•\tEstablishes and maintains performance metrics to measure program success

•\tInstalls process excellence supports for program governance, project reviews, communications, training, certifications and rewards.

Defines, designs and implements continuous improvement programs to ensure programs are integrated vertically and horizontally across organization. Defines improvement projects aligned with business strategies. Analyzes improvement programs and potential results. Facilitates and coaches improvement teams. Establishes and maintains performance metrics to measure program success. Installs process excellence supports for program governance, project reviews, communications, training, certifications and rewards. May have six-sigma certification.
