This is a part-time, as needed, position.

Position Specifics: This position will support US Navy logistics and assessment programs.

Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:

• US Navy experience required with shipboard and engineering system knowledge in Hull, Mechanical or Electrical (HM&E) systems and strong 3M maintenance background.

• Must have ships CSMP experience writing and recommending job repairs.

• Must be able to travel 2 to 3 weeks at a time with some international travel required.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain DBIDS credential.

• Note any logistics and OMMS experience in application.

• Experience as a ships repair parts petty officer is highly desired.

Reviews engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings to determine documentation and material requirements, ensure compliance with engineering specifications, and to ensure engineering orders reflect latest requirements. Analyzes proposed changes in product design to determine effect on documents such as drawings, test specifications, manuals, and ensures all documents have required approvals. Compiles release packages ensuring all documentation is present. Notifies appropriate departments of any new or updated data. Maintains audit trails. Researches and resolves inconsistencies with design, production, material, or program office.

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
