External Job Description:

Identify the analysis needs of the customers and ensure the models capture those needs. Design and architect the input and output data for the models. Interface with the customers and collect the input and system data. Perform analysis on both the input and output data to verify correct and accurate results. Design and present charts, graphs and model results to the customers. Create and maintain verification and validation documentation, to include model assumptions and limitations. Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis.

The individual may participate in a range of projects relating to modeling and simulation, both individually and in a team environment. The primary focus area will be the design, implementation, documentation, and testing of simulation and software solutions for internal and external customers. In addition, individual will independently determine and develop technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems. May be required to function in technical leadership role. Individual will work closely with simulation developers, subject matter experts, and customers to determine the best solutions. May conduct research and development activities for future modeling and simulation products.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred skills include:

• Practical Knowledge of modeling and simulation, particularly discrete event simulation

• Experience with statistical analyses including hypothesis testing and stochastic processes

• Practical Knowledge of optimization methods and predictive analytics

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated technical leadership capability

• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies such as Scrum

• Knowledge of the Java programming language or similar languages such as C# or C+
